Sussex County Farm HouseSussex County is the most southern county in the state. It is home to just under 200,000 people and is made up of approx 938 square miles of land. The eastern side is home to most all of the Delaware beaches while the western side is the center of Delaware’s agricultural industry. There are no cities in the county. Much of the county if rural with its largest town having less than 10,000 residents. The soils range from pure sand to hard clay and there is very little natural stone.
